  • This crossmember fits both SBC and BBC engines for the 67-69 F-Body and 68-74 X-Body. 
  • Fits Transmissions: 4L80E, 4L85E
  • We recommend a polyurethane transmission mount. The GMTM is sold separately.
  • For the 1967-1969 F Body and 1968-1974 X Body frames, the distance between the crossmember frame mounting holes is 30-3/8". To ensure proper crossmember selection be sure to measure your frame before you order.

This crossmember is installed with the G Force label facing the rear of the vehicle. However, another determining feature is the crossmember center tube which has a 1/2″ drain slot that is positioned on the bottom and on the passenger side next to the hump weldment.

This crossmember is installed so that the exhaust clearance humps are closed on the top and open on the bottom.

To use the provided 7/16″ hardware it is necessary to enlarge holes in your frame rails with a 1/2″ drill. If you choose to use the stock size 3/8″ hardware, it is strongly recommended to use new Grade #8 fasteners to compensate.

Heavy Duty Built Unit

This crossmember was rather spendy but I believe it was worth every penny. It is build like a tank, gives plenty of room for exhaust, and was plenty adjustable for the motor mount combination I used in my LSX swapped Nova. It runs Dirty dingo sliders, energy mounts, and big block frame mounts. Glad I made the decision to buy this one and not go through the hassle of building one. One of the few aftermarket parts that just works without any modifications.

PERFECT fit.

I was going to modify my current crossmember, or build my own. I got tired of my car sitting on jackstands while I waffled about. I decided to just purchase this one to save myself the trouble. Glad I did. Came quickly, and I sit it in there and it fit like a glove. Thank you G Force!
