300ZX ADAPTER LS SWAP KIT
SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SECTION FOR LQ4 SERIES ENGINES
This adapter kit will allow you to mate a Nissan 300zx (Z32) 5 speed transmission to an ls series engine. If you want to run a manual transmission capable of withstanding high power behind an ls engine without spending an arm and a leg, this is your kit. The Z32 transmission has been proven to withstand over 700 horsepower in the stock state and they are readily available at salvage yards and classified ads for around the $300 range.
Whether you are doing an ls swap into a 300zx or an old hotrod, this is a great alternative to the pricey t56 or weak gm 5 speeds. The kit includes a custom steel flywheel, a 3/8 steel powder coated adapter plate, pilot bushing adapter, and hardware. The flywheel can be used with only 1990-1996 naturally aspirated 300zx transmission with either the naturally aspirated or twin turbo pressure plate/ clutch setups (flywheel has provisions for both).
300ZX LS Swap Kit Additional Details:
Use standard GM specs when tightening to the LS crank, block, etc. Use Nissan specs when tightening the pressure plate, etc.
* This kit uses a stock 300zx pilot bushing with a machined steel adapter (both included)
* This kit uses the 300zx starter (mounted to the side of the transmission)
* Will not work with a twin turbo Z32 transmission. The TT transmission has a slightly larger bellhousing, moving the starter out and further away from the flywheel ring gear, causing the starter to not engage this flywheel.
* This kit uses a 300zx pressure plate/clutch and throw out bearing. Either the naturally aspirated(NA) or twin turbo (TT) pressure plate/clutch disc can be used.

What You Need to Know About LS Conversions
An LS conversion involves swapping and installing an engine into an existing vehicle. LS refers to any engines manufactured by GM. This is the primary GM V8 engine, which has been widely used in Chevy Corvettes since 1997. LS engines are incredibly popular for aftermarket engine swaps referred to as LS conversions.
Can I put any type of engine in any type of car?
You could potentially install engines of varying makes into nearly any model of car. However, cost is often a factor in that decision. Avoid wasting time and money on an LS conversion by consulting with a reputable engineer prior to servicing the vehicle. An experienced professional can assist you with determining which engine will work best based on your budgetary restraints and the performance results you’re looking for.
What is the average cost for a custom engine swap?
The cost of custom swapping engines varies substantially depending on the involved engines and vehicles as well as the amount of time and labor required for performing the swap. Engine swap prices range from $1,500 to $12,000 and sometimes higher.
