Steel Billet Flywheels
The preferred choice to replace factory-cast iron flywheels, our steel flywheels can deliver the performance you are looking for with your swap, conversion, or simply to replace a cracked flywheel. Cast iron flywheels at higher rpms and in high-performance racing can be dangerous. Whether it's on the racetrack or street, the G Force flywheel can handle the additional torque. A heavier flywheel allows the rotational inertia to move faster from a stop. This also gives you a smoother idle, easier gear shifting, and prevents rapid RPM drops from stalling your engine.
Lightweight Aluminum Billet Flywheels
If you are building an all-out competition car, then you need a lightweight flywheel that will allow the engine to rev quicker, while not consuming horsepower. G Force billet aluminum flywheels greatly reduce rotating weight to permit quicker engine revving, as opposed to the slower revving heavier steel flywheels. These distinct features translate directly to how your vehicle will perform. Vehicle weight, engine HP, torque, and gearing combinations all factor into the final performance, but as a general rule, an aluminum flywheel requires more HP than a steel flywheel to make the car launch without bogging the motor, while an aluminum flywheel accelerates quicker through the gears, compared to the heavier steel flywheel.
How a Flywheel Reduces Vehicle Stress
Since the flywheel plays an essential role in the balance and stabilization of the crankshaft, this process significantly reduces stress on the drivetrain as a whole. By having the flywheel in place, your car will have longevity and operate smoothly.
